What makes ComfortPro bee suits different from other brands?
ComfortPro bee suits are designed by real beekeepers for beekeepers. We use a unique light weight ventilated fabric called “Air Mesh” that allows air to flow freely while preventing bees from being able to sting— so you stay cool and protected. ComfortPro suits are known for comfort, breathability, and superior sting protection.
Each suit is hand-inspected for quality before being shipped out to you to ensure it meets our high quality standards. We use durable YKK zippers that are strong and will last for years with no issues without the need for regular maintenance like other zippers require. We are a family owned and operated business and strive to show each customer how much their support means to our family.
Customer Review:
Upon putting on the jacket, I could immediately tell it was much cooler than my old suit. I could actually feel the breeze through it but had no problems even in my most aggressive hive. Great workmanship and a great business to deal with. Highly recommended ComfortPro.
Are ComfortPro bee suits sting-proof or sting-resistant?
While No suit can claim to be 100% sting-proof, ComfortPro suits are highly sting-resistant. Our Air Mesh material keeps bees’ stingers from reaching your skin keeping them from being able to sting.
It is important to note getting stung on occasion is part of being a beekeeper and while it is not something to be afraid of it is important to know especially if you have an extreme allergy to honey bees. These stings often come not in the bee yard but when you take your suit off and a bee followed you inside, or when you are extracting honey, or before you suit up to go into the bee yard. Again, this is not something to be afraid of, but know that it is part of beekeeping and can not be prevented 100%. With that said, when our suits are worn correctly, stings are extremely rare.

Using the comfortpro suit for a few years now. No problems and not a single sting. About as much protection and as cool as a bee suit can get.
What size bee suit should I order? How do I measure correctly?
Each of our products has a sizing chart towards the bottom of the product page. Please refer to this for specific sizing. In general our suits are true to size, unlike many manufacturers who have bee suits several sizes larger than what would normally be worn. In general the size of sweatshirt or winter jacket you would wear will match the size bee suit or jacket you should choose. If you are tall and ordering a full suit pay close attention to the height limit on the size chart. For those that are on the tall size our jacket and pants combos also offer a good fit.
We want you to know you can order with confidence knowing we have free and easy size exchanges. We also have you include your size information when checking out if you want confirmation on your choice. If we think there should be a change we will contact you before sending your order. If you do require a size exchange we send them out right away and you will usually have the new size within a few days of requesting the change. we don’t wait until we receive your original order back before getting your new size out to you, but rather send it right away with a return label for the exchange. Our customers have LOVED this easy exchange process and hope that it will help you buy with confidence knowing we will get you a great fitting suit, even if it’s not the first try.
I originally ordered a size large, Matt reached out to me and recommended that I go with an XL instead, which i did. It fits perfect, and his attentiveness saved me the trouble of returning an undersized suit. This suit is top notch for breathability and overall comfort. I ordered a 2nd suit for my wife
Do your bee suits keep you cool in hot weather?
Yes! ComfortPro’s ventilated suits are made for warm climates and long summer inspections. The 3D Air Mesh allows airflow through easily, reducing heat buildup and letting cooler air move through. Many beekeepers in the South and Southwest choose our ventilated suit because it stays cooler and is light weight. While our suit doesn’t reduce the outside summer temperatures it keeps from unnecessarily making you hotter with its lightweight design and breathability.
Customer Review:
Ordered my ComfortPro bee suit Monday July 3, and it came in today the 5th. Open it up and tried it on. All I can say is WOW. You can really fell the breeze through the suit. I live in southern Louisiana, so it’s HOT outside right now. Put suit on and opened my two hives I have. 100% sting proof too. Suit is very comfortable. I ordered the XL and fit me very well. I would recommend the suit if it’s hot when you working on your hives.

How do I clean and care for my bee suit or jacket?
You can clean your suit in your washing machine. First remove the veil and wash your suit in warm water with mild detergent — no bleach or fabric softeners. Scent free detergent is best as some fragrances could disturb the bees. Hang to dry (they dry very fast).
Bee suits should be washed as needed but at least once or twice a season. Washing helps remove bee warning pheromone and can be helpful if you notice your bees are getting increasingly aggressive. Many things can cause increased bee aggression, but one cause could be warning pheromone left behind from previous inspections.
What is included in the NewBee Combo, and why is it good for beginners?
The NewBee Combo includes a ventilated bee jacket, ventilated bee pants, your choice of veil (round, fencing, or both), and goatskin gloves — a complete starter setup. Additionally our combo includes the option of our online beekeeping course to help you get stated with the foundations needed to be successful. We know getting started in beekeeping can be expensive and to try to help you get your start our combo is offered at discount.
We strongly recommend new beekeepers get the jacket and pants combo vs a full suit because our years of working with new beekeepers has shown us that new beekeepers often purchase a full suit from the beginning out of some hesitation to work with bees for the first time. However within the first year they get more comfortable see the benefits of a jacket for quick checks on the bees. This often leads them to spend more, buying both a full suit and a jacket the first year. This combo allows you to have the best of both worlds. Full protection when you need it and the option of just a jacket when you want it. We also strongly recommend getting both veils to se which you prefer. Many old timer beekeepers swear by one style or the other and usually their reason….it’s the only one they ever tried. Try both and decide for yourself which serves YOU best! Get the NewBee Combo

Customer Review:
Excellent customer service and return/exchange policy. I’m 6’2, 195 lbs and the XL full suit was a little too short in the torso. Exchange for the XL TALL, no problem. Thanks again for great product and service.
Do you offer replacement veils?
Yes, we sell replacement veils! We know that accidents can happen and they often happen in the form of a hive tool to the veil (Hey, be careful!) Therefore, we offer replacement veils in both round and fencing veil style so your gear can last for years. All replacement veils are designed to fit ComfortPro suits perfectly and use the same high-quality YKK zippers and mesh materials.
Why should I invest in a quality bee suit instead of buying a cheap one?
A bee suit isn’t just clothing — it’s your protection in the bee yard. Low-cost suits use thin fabric that can be stung through, are very hot because they are not breathable, and use low quality zippers, leaving you vulnerable to bee stings. ComfortPro suits are made with premium materials, are lightweight and breathable, and will last for years, providing peace of mind during every inspection. It’s an investment in your comfort and your safety.
